James Dubois, Jesters team captain writes: A very sociable match was held at the RAC, Woodcote Park on Friday 6th June 2025 between two teams of ten players. Our guests from Argentina (The Classics) were able to enjoy an afternoon in the sunshine, including a trip to Epsom Downs Racetrack on Ladies Day, followed by a mixture of singles and doubles squash matches. While the Jesters had a comfortable win, the Classics had lost their best player to illness the previous day and several of their players had not experienced doubles squash before.
The matches were followed by an enjoyable meal in the club’s 19th Hole restaurant accompanied by many appreciative words from the Argentine Classics players. One of them described their view of themselves as Spaniards, who look like Italians but think they are English!
A reciprocal visit to Buenos Aires is suggested, perhaps in conjunction with the Swans.
